Smith and his wife (from Lake Chelan, WA) never interviewed for the Cal job as he and his wife wanted the job in Pullman. He was in negotiations to get it and he signed two days before Fox got the Cal job.

So yes, the WSU job was more appealing to Smith for a variety of reasons. Not because Knowlton didn't consider him.

First media timeout, Bears up 14-13, shooting 75% from the field. Celestine leading with six points, knocking down both of his three-point shots.

Great that the Bears are shooting 75%. Scary that they're shooting 75% and only up one with Kuany going to the line for two after the break.

agree. That foul they called that put Hyder at the line wasn't a foul. Hyder is really struggling right now. Dribbles too much. 1-4 in free throws. I wouldn't play him much if at all. Prefer to have Foreman as the back up point guard right now.
