I wonder whether they are considering requiring us to space from neighboring folks ( I know attendance will be low, but there may be other ticket holders in adjacent seats).

[for women's hoops] 4 season tickets for a party of 2 yields spare space (most of the time) on both ends

When they say "attendance limited to 5000", that is like when a store takes an item that won't sell and tries, "Due to incredible demand, we must limit this item to only 3 per customer".

Neither works, btw.

I have to use a bullhorn to talk to the closest person sitting by me even at PAC 12 games.

Last year, I paid for football with assurances that they would roll over for this season (which they did). For basketball, I refused to pay since it was much more expensive and at that point it looked more likely there would be no season. They politely requested a $100 deposit for this season, which I obliged - although I've now decided not to renew basketball.

I don't care about the temperature. However the smoke is starting a month early. Smells like a nice campfire or a Top Dog BBQ

I meant, how is Cal marketing the game? You know, trying to get fans to buy tickets and show up? What is compelling about the matchup with Sac State for Cal fans?

I'd think most casual Cal fans (marginal ticket buyers) are not aware Troy Taylor is Sac State's HC. I'm not sure how compelling that is, but I can't think of much else to promote.
