The Arizona game wont be pretty. I doubt we win more than 2 more games. Time for a no fans rule.

The next stretch will be ugly, but I still see 5 more games we can win at Haas if the team doesn't quit on Fox.

We might win games like this at home. Still won't get us above middle of the pack.

The Cougs are a decent team and we played them well on the road. The really bad loss was UW. We needed that if we are going to be a middle of the PAC team.

UW up 39-17 over Furd right now. Go figure.

KAB, at least you recouped some of your losses. Cal covered by 1.5. Bet surf's up.

The Cal box score shows Brown played 1:28.

According to the live stats Brown played only 1 minute. Compare to Roberson 3 minutes, Foreman 14 minutes, and Hyder 18 minutes. I don't get it unless those stats are way off or Brown isn't healthy.

ESPN Box Score does not show him in the game at all:
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401377413

Well, he played. We saw him.

Most of you know: He tested positive for COVID several days ago, which might have been a false positive (certainly asymptomatic). He spent the last few days isolated. When he was cleared to play, they made every effort to get him to the game ASAP today, but he did not arrive on to the court until right before the second half... and he hadn't practiced in days.

When he came in, he made a couple of errors in his first minute, Fox took him out and he never came back in. It wasn't supposed to work out that way, but it did.

Things happen. (Especially to us.)

Other than the joy of seeing Stanford lose, it might be an indication UW is improving and cannot be considered a BDW, which could be a bad thing in our quest to become a mid-PAC team under Fox.

Though again this year we have had fewer COVID disruptions than most other PAC-12 teams.

Now if we can just get foreman going

Having watched him for two years I just don't think it's possible to "get Foreman going". Looks like a permanently erratic shooter to me, not even streaky like Grant can be.

Stanford almost came back, lost by 3. Undone by 21 TO.

Foreman is injured. Not worth playing.

dear C.....Yes, "things happen". The "thing". that happened to Cal sixty years ago was when the Regents and Chancellors decided to "de-emphasize" sports. Read....Football and basketball. have you ever heard of the expression 're-arranging the furniture on the Titanic"???I feel so much better ever since I decided to stop banging my head against the wall. Saves the wall AND my heAd. I'm a slow learner, but I eventually learn....

We need two coaches - one for away games.

We did well defending the 3, except for one player who was 4-7 (rest of WSU was 2- 15

Kelly had 14 rebounds over two longer and more athletic post players, but we were out rebounded by 7. Where was everyone else?

We only had 8 turnovers (good). We held them to 39% shooting which isn't terrible.

So it was our offense which was the main problem.

USC and UCLA are top defenses, but WSU also is a good defensive team, and UW has the syracuse zone we and other teams can't handle (stanford lost to UW with more 21 turnovers, 3 more than Cal)

I thought we only had trouble with UW's zone, as we've handled them well before, but vs WSU we looked as bad, except for the turnovers. We actually couldn't get it in the middle once.

It was extremely unfortunate that Brown got up to the game by halftime, but only got to play a minute. I think he should have gotten more time even though he was rusty and didn't know the game plan as our two PG had poor games again

Our offense is almost always the problem.

C'mon, we are #307 in the nation in scoring, that is not last, If we just get the players to play harder and rebound better we can win!
