Back from the Haas. Yuk, as you all know...

Cal highlights:

+ Shepherd with his third impressive dunk this season
* Anyanwu with a career high (10). He scraps out there.
+ The Greek with a couple of buckets.

Washington shot the lights out. Could we have contested their threes better? Probably, but they were insane. The Huskies seemed a little too comfortable and happy out there. Bradley would've knocked a few of them to the floor, but he's gone now.

As to Fox throwing in the towel early, well, if he hadn't played the freshmen extensively tonight after we were down by 20, that would've been questioned too, right?

Speaking of questions: How have we managed to accumulate so many players lacking in basketball savvy and offensive skills? (that was a rhetorical question)


I'd like to see Kelly come back soon and for him and Grant to finish their careers strongly . . . just because.

I didn't watch the game. (I'm having issues with a kidney stone which is actually more fun)

DK's 8 minutes were appreciated though.

Suggestion:

Fox throws caution to proverbial wind

*invites the kids over
*serves ouzo, souvlaki and baklava
*shows the following over and over and over again

Not that its really significant but I suspect Fox used the back of the bench the last 10 minutes because of the fact that tomorrow will be 3 games in 5 days.
Things really suck right now. I know this will sound clichest, but honestly at least the players are still giving full effort.

That's exactly what he said in his post-game interview. It's plausible. That's much better than "I thought the reserves could give us a spark and light a fire under our starters" -- which would have been a lame answer because he never put the starters back in (a la Matt Bradley @ UCLA).
