"Luke warm fan support" is a dependent variable, not an independent one. Cal fans are tired of being **** on.

So we would be down to Hyder and Roberson(?) if that cryptic Tweet by Joel means he's going elsewhere?
Almost positive that, in that scenario, Fox would use one of the open schollies on a PG, but the concern is, how good a one could we expect to get?

Yes, I'm joking, but does Deschon Winston still have his COVID year? He can probably make his free throws, his talent level meshes with our current roster and it would tie up a lot of loose ends.

This was so depressing (even if said jokingly) that I just threw up a little in my mouth. We've come down to some fans wanting a less than average guy we kicked off of a bad team to come back to "tie up the loose ends" on an even lesser talented team.
Cal athletics, I'm afraid, has thrown in the towel. Knowlton and Christ - please resign as a tandem. Those who think Carol is supportive of football and basketball need to take a closer look at what is going on. The optics ain't great.
Chris Pezman would be an upgrade who knows Cal...calumnus said:fat_slice said:Big C said:oskidunker said:One that can make free throws.Big C said:KoreAmBear said:

Christ completely blew it with the Knowlton hire and lifetime extension.
I don't know how supportive Chancellor Christ is with football and basketball, but she seems like a real good Chancellor for the University. I'd keep her.fat_slice said:Big C said:oskidunker said:One that can make free throws.Big C said:KoreAmBear said:

The chancellor who steered us to the #2 public uni in the US?
Athletically or academically, the optics are not great for what should be without question, a top 5 uni public or private. We just need better administrators and marketers.

Why has no one mentioned that Dennis Gates still looks like he is 13? Dude has some serious genetics!
I've said this before but I think the solution is simple. By most accounts Christ and Knowlton are doing well with the other aspects of their jobs. Keep Christ. Keep Knowlton but take FB and MBB off his desk. Somebody other than Christ or Knowlton hire a competent, semi-autonomous Revenue Sports Coordinator.OneTopOneChickenApple said:

If she can clean up and develop People's Park, which is scheduled for June, that in itself, would be reason to keep her.fat_slice said:OneTopOneChickenApple said:I don't know how supportive Chancellor Christ is with football and basketball, but she seems like a real good Chancellor for the University. The money for Knowlton is already paid. We can't do anything about that.GMP said:So you're going to pay Knowlton a ton of money to do…the absolutely least essential parts of his current job?stu said:
