Before we start talking about firing coaches and AD's, let's give them adequate resources.
Is this the Athletic Department or the Architecture Department? Build the team, build the enthusiasm, then build the facility.GoBears72 said:

Exactly. A practice facility is at least 10 years into the future.socaliganbear said:
According to the AD, we have internal agreement on one. We now just need someone to design it, figure out what costs are, start a fundraising plan for said costs, find donors, come up with the cash. So.... years and years.
If you don't want to make a move until that's built, you don't seriously care about the health of the program.
oh so we have a great plan, and the only thing we need now is money?GoCal80 said:
" The athletic department is moving forward with plans to build a dedicated practice facility, but the timetable for that project depends on the success of raising money to fund the building."

Correct. Practice facility Haas to North, including parking lots.
This afternoon, USF Athletics celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Malloy Pavilion!

The facility will open in the fall of 2023 and will feature staff offices, team meeting rooms and practice courts for @USFDonsMBB , @USFDonsWBB and @USFDonsVB 🙌#USFDons pic.twitter.com/FIuuxaPWzC
Exactly, just have them practice at RSFEcon141 said:
You don't need a practice facility if your goal is to win zero games which we are exceedingly successful at already.
Why can't we look for a suitable building for remodel, or a suitable site for a new building, somewhere off campus but still accessible? So much cheaper, and quicker, than building on campus.DoubtfulBear said:Exactly, just have them practice at RSFEcon141 said:

If this were China and they decided that it was a project that needed to be done, they'd break ground before New Years and have it completed by the conference tournament.
Problem then would be, we'd be in China.
Wang Lung and Olan would be the only ones going.Big C said:PaulCali said:Why can't we look for a suitable building for remodel, or a suitable site for a new building, somewhere off campus but still accessible? Sorry to hear this. I wont renew three chairbacks if Fox is not fired. Hard to do used to bebone of my favorite things. No moreMama Bear said:
Following confirmation from AD that coaching change was not going to happen before this season we made the very difficult decision not to renew. We are well, Bruce in his 90's, I'm close behind. Cannot drive at night any longer. Such fantastic memories of championship and competitive basketball at Harmon. Haas sucked more than a little energy out of the student section, and now there is little tradition left--except the Straw Hat band. And where did "tuna" go?
Similar to Mama Bear, this is what I did last year. Moving on until changes are made actually feels OK.oskidunker said:Sorry to hear this. I wont renew three chairbacks if Fox is not fired. Hard to do used to bebone of my favorite things. No moreMama Bear said:

Regarding Step 6 - Wouldn't you want to keep some of the facilities (particularly Haas) for student use including intramurals? Do you really want students to have to go to Oakland daily for practice?JB was a Chieftain said:
Step 1: acquire the coliseum complex
Step 2: demolish parking lot and create a medical school
Step 3: arena becomes dedicated basketball/volleyball facility
Step 4: coliseum becomes baseball complex
Step 5: renovate clark kerr track for track & field
Step 6: clear out baseball field, track & field, & haas complex
Step 7: build on campus student housing
Step 8: profit & happiness
