Askew needs a blow - he plays hard. Hard to generate offense without him so far.
Cal's overall talent is clearly improved, but having said that it speaks volumes that UC Davis is probably equally if not more athletic.

At this point, I just have to believe that Fox has told Brown to not shoot - Brown is quick enough to get to the basket, but he streaks down the court, stops before getting to the basket and then passes it away.Bearprof said:

Meanwhile a lineup without Askew is zero scoring.
Lars for how good he has been 3 feet from the basket is just so weak with the ball. No awareness.

Not so sure we have better players. Davis can certainly shoot better than we can.

Bowser was very overrated by the recruiting sites. look at his offers- almost all small mid major programs outside us, of course. was more of a "late bloomer" type recruit. Looks real bad.
14-1 run that is so embarrassing. Have the athletic and height advantage and this happens. You allow Joel Brown to play like this scared to shoot. Kuany and Bowser both 3 years in the program look completely raw. Come on man.

we really should not be missing wide open 3s. what is with that? i mean even in high school I knew plenty of guys who were pretty automatic when wide open from 3s. you'd expect a P5 D1 team to be able to hit them pretty consistently...

Most of our shots are highly contested because we have no scheme to get guys open.
