Me too. My dad was in the class of '57, and told me the story about hot pennies. It took me awhile to realize that the reason they could do that is that in those days, everybody smoked, so they all had lighters.

Cal legend and a special player for sure, but if we're talking pure production and play, a bit overrated. I think advanced stats will bear out that among his contemporaries, Randle, Crabbe, and even Cobbs were better.
