If I had gone to 1 hoop game in my 4 years at Cal (1972-1976), I would remember him. I only remember Rickie Hawthorne because someone told me he was the best player.

A very good college player. If I recall correctly, center Jerome Young also transferred to Cal from the same JC at the same time as White. I think White was instrumental in a win over the Ducks, who featured guard Ron Lee. Carl Bird was also on that Bears team.
