I think Calumnus is saying that Knowlton is really bad at his job and due to his bad decision making, poor performance and lack of general awareness of what the job of athletic director is supposed to do for sports other than hockey, along with his poor handling of a major scandal that hurt many student athletes, he die not deserve the job he has and should be terminated with all post haste.
