Athletics experience is justifiably very low on the list of requirements for a chancellor, which is why I think athletics should have another structure: maybe an oversight board made up of big donor alumni who would hire and oversee the AD?

The immediate problem is Christ signed Knowlton to a contract through the end of the decade at $2.3 million a year, so unless the never-ending McKeever scandal investigation concludes and finds Knowlton culpable, the new chancellor isn't going to matter much.

Though maybe it would be good if we poach someone from the B1G?
