I guess it's either "we can only hope" or "it's an embarrassment of riches" or "time will tell"

madsen mentioned him and boyed (big juco prospect) at a basketball event last week

jovani is a top 30 player and a 5 star by some services

there's a good article on the premium board about boyed if you guys want to check it out

coastie, do u think a couple of dozen fans talking privately about cal basketball is gonna excite recruits, their families & coaches?

do u think it's gonna generate excitement re: the cal bb program & sell tixs particularly to new fans?

shocky, I read your phrase "a couple dozen fans talking privately" to refer to private-premium / open bifurcation on this board (as opposed to whatever basketball "event" the previous poster was referring to). And you made me think, is this web-site bifurcation really optimum. That's a question that never occurred to me before in many years visiting this site. I understand the need for some fee structure to support the expense of putting this site out there, so I never really thought about it. And I really do appreciate the efforts of those who have worked so long to put this out there; I'm not going to second- guess them. But the question I hear you raising is whether the expense of site-maintenance would be better carried as a promotional expense of the program, as opposed to subscription funding, in order to more widely disseminate information and discussion helpful to the program, through forums open to anyone for reading (at least).

About the two recruits at issue in this chain, I don't know how much can be said by Cal until we get a commitment. Anyhow, thank you for your promotion of Cal's programs on these boards, and for your relentless press for better promotional schemes, like free tickets for freshmen, and other ways to get fans in the seats.
