Wow tough first two weeks of conference season out of the gate. We had better rack up wins in OOC.baytobreakers said:

I hears that Deion's niece is having her birthday party that weekend, so he asked the entire P12 basketball schedule to be re-arranged.glutton said:
It seems very unusual that the 3rd week (1/10-1/14/24) is split, with us hosting Colorado and also playing at Oregon. Any insights into why that happened?
because we only play Utah and Oregon St once each so I guess since they are on the road….it's 20 games btw not 19 as someone else mentionedglutton said:

I thought the norm was that it would be a 'pair' of schools that we'd only play at home or only on the road each year, i.e. both LA schools, or both Oregon schools, not Colorado and Oregon. I supposed this is the last year of it anyhow. I have no idea how scheduling will work in such a big conference as the ACC.cal83dls79 said:because we only play Utah and Oregon St once each so I guess since they are on the road….it's 20 games btw not 19 as someone else mentionedglutton said:

And those 7 east coast games would likely be in pairs (or maybe a long trip of two weekends) to limit the travel. Then a heavy dose of WCC and Big West schools.BearSD said:glutton said:I thought the norm was that it would be a 'pair' of schools that we'd only play at home or only on the road each year, i.e. both LA schools, or both Oregon schools, not Colorado and Oregon. ACC also plays 20 conference games, 10 home and 10 away. Someone speculated that Cal would play Stanford, Notre Dame, and SMU twice each season and rotate the other 14 teams. If that comes to pass, there would be seven home games and seven away games vs. eastern time zone ACC teams.
So - it could be a long road trip in January and another in March/Feb? Probably not the end of the world.KoreAmBear said:And those 7 east coast games would likely be in pairs (or maybe a long trip of two weekends) to limit the travel. Yah doesn't sound so bad. Then hopefully another trip somewhere for March Madness!BeachedBear said:So - it could be a long road trip in January and another in March/Feb?
