A classic case of a lower division team that has played a ton together against a team that really hasn't played more than a scrimmage against other players. If we correct for lack of pressure on the 3pt shot Cal should win easily.

I don't think we need too many halftime adjustments. The Tommies aren't going to be 8-14 from 3 point range again in the second half.

Pretty clear that this team just hasn't played together for very long. I expect huge improvement during the season.

The Tommies are playing some good perimeter defense. Cone hasn't had much to work with in terms of space.
Tommies were 19-14 (9-9) last year in second year in D1 - and lost in their conference championship to Oral Roberts.

He had a good look from 3 and missed (stroke looked good), and then he had another look from 3 that he forced and shot was an ugly miss.
My WAY too early take. I'd rather have Pavlovic play point than askew. He's the better defender and pushes the ball
Bears look better overall, much better. They haven't played together very long. St. Thomas is a good team. Bigger, stronger, faster, and more length. Looks much better overall. Also like the faster tempo. What @#45SHOW the last 4+ years were. Fardaws is a force. Celestine also looks much better.
Hope Newell is just a hyperextension and nothing serious.

The piss poor crowd is a factor. Nothing to feed off of. Gotta earn the crowd with some wins though.

There have been several plays where the Bears have made an extra unselfish pass to wide open players. That is a positive sign.

Agreed. Was hoping for visible improvement from Askew. Not yet. I like Pav's energy.
I can't get over how bad the lighting is. You should not see freaking shadows of players on the court. It's worse than high school. Not acceptable.
Askew has to start hitting some shots…1-6
