I thought we had too many guards after recruiting and transfer season but seeing the team down Askew and Celestine the last couple games it wasn't enough. We don't have a dominant ball handler or creator right now and it's showing. Too many turnovers, not enough good looks, and it's tough to initiate the offense

You'd think players would be knocking down the door to be a Div 1 starting point guard with all the playing time you can get.
1)Tyson got hacked on that drive.
2) our offensive sets suck
3) Aimaq should not dribble up the court
4) turnovers are a major problem
5) can't believe we are up as poorly as we have played

I don't mean this to sound like a copout but a few of these early turnovers and confusion seem like it's from playing in such a small arena with the benches so close to the floor. It's a high school setup and I just got a strong feeling on a couple of these plays that it was throwing off our offense and in our guys' heads and vision. It takes some adjustment and messes with your peripherals

They are literally playing at a high school, and it's not even a big well known high school at that.

Well, you know there's a shortage of good basketball arenas in Southern California.

Offensively we can shoot but there doesn't seem too much movement. Too many bad passes and drive into the paint attempts …. Not really sure what kind of offense we are trying to run

About same number of Cal fans!
Its not about crowd size so much as proximity to the court. But yes, it's also smaller than even our diminished Haas crowds right now. The total fans in this stadium are probably about as many people as are in our student sectionsdimitrig said:Bearly Clad said:
