The 7-1 women's team is playing really well and has their best team in years. They're playing a strong Gonzaga team that just pounded Stanford. Go check them out!

And no "Move this to the women's basketball board" memes, please. We're promoting the women here because they deserve to play in front of much bigger crowds than they've had so far this season.

Thanks!

Agree completely. I usually only catch 3 or 4 women's games per year, but I will be there tonight. Looking forward to a really good game.

Cal loses in OT - sounds like it was an exciting game.

We were jobbed at the end of regulation. Half second to go, Leilani hacked on the wrist, ref calls jump ball.

Yeah that was horrible, as was when she was hacked a minute or two before causing an errant pass that they called a backcourt violation plus a ball clearly off Gonzaga's hands that was called their ball on the baseline, giving them a second chance after a missed shot they ended up converting in the last minute or two, too, after a crucial stop.

The refs were terribly inconsistent but the backcourt call had two problems: the foul on the passer and the fact Lei caught the pass with both feet in the front court

But the sideline out of bounds was the right call as the Zags player didn't touch the ball

But I don't think it's my imagination that this ref crew and other refs call a lot of tiky tak calls on Michelle. She gets whistled for the slightest bump with her body while other players are doing way more under the basket

Perhaps it's her long, lean body type that somehow makes it more obvious to the refs, but it's just puzzling

absolute bull%#@* by the refs to REVERSE the call and give the ball to the zags. first off, you could see the spin on the ball change slightly due the the gonzaga player's finger grazing it. it was slight but it was there. secondly, even if you couldn't, there must be CONCLUSIVE evidence to reverse a call.
