When you look at our scores this season we are a hard out for teams. Despite not playing well in all phases of the game we only have to push a little more and those close losses will turn into close wins.

Great game to see in person. Feel the crowd slowly come alive

I went to the game last night with an old friend. I was happy for his company in spite of the result during the first half.

We did not see that explosive rally coming.

We have enough trouble guarding the opponent when playing man to man, which Madsen publicly made clear he is sticking with, effectively telling rod benson to shut up about playing zone. We'll see how they do from here, but we can't count on one guy to bail out this team, and we can't count on luck like Colorado missing a wide open three in the closing moment. This team needs to play a complete game before I'll be sold. Very happy for the win, and the heart, though.

Aimaq is 25 years old and playing in his fifth college season. I doubt his game is going to change much at this point. I could be wrong, though.

There were calls and non-calls that went both ways… for example calling foul on Larson for a Williams and-one in the last minute. Absolutely ridiculous. Another bad call was on Celestine defending their center. For such a big strong guy he sure crashes to the ground a lot from minor contact from a player 60 pounds lighter. But Cal benefited by the quick 5 second call.

Oh, and there's this:

I'm still going with Roy Fisher against Villanova.

Finally watched the game and I feel like I was in excessively critical of aimaq. He had a solid second half and was impactful more than not, especially in that half. But…I had no idea how wide open that three was, and how late. We could have easily blown that game after all of that work, and it was sheer luck that we didn't. At the same time, it was sheer luck that we lost more than one game this season, too, so it's nice to have karma balance out a little for once. Most importantly, I'm still patiently waiting for a complete game that includes making free throws. JT carried the team last night.

Cherry picking some missed calls is not helpful, particularly when you haven't watched the games.

For example. Yes, Cone committed a moving screen on the second Tyson dunk. But before that, Tyson was pushed on the first dunk and no call was made. Cone was also clearly hit on the arm on his big 3 pointer. Both should have been And 1s. And that's just off the top of my head.

It's not a great look to complain about missed calls in a loss because missed calls happen both ways all the time.

But it's a really strange look to point out missed calls in our favor in a win, ignoring that the other team also got the benefit of missed calls to keep it closer than it should have been.

And it's REALLY strange to do so when you haven't even watched the game.
