I think they may open more concession stands when they get more fans. Win more games, get more fans, though that could take a few years. BTW, where is this $17.50 cheesesteak someone mentioned. I didn't see it on the concession stand sign. Maybe it's in the club section bar area where I don't go?

Upstairs, north end
Go Bears!

Haas Pavillion is definitely not State of the Art, but based on many aspects of Cal Basketball that can be complained about, I think this one falls way down the list.

My only complaint which is shared by many, is how the seats have been adjusted over the years to gradually move away from its original purpose, of replicating a Harmon Gym atmosphere.

Agree 100%. Hell, 110%! Starting after the first Haas season, it has gotten steadily worse and worse and the reasons for it are lame. Look at the old videos or stills from Harmon: It was insane, but insane in a good way!

Yes, they had orange juice bars, coke, huge hot dogs, pizza, smoothies ans on the third level, really good bbq.

I was responding to the post about seating around the court. Jesus Christ, you are obsessed with the food and drink they serve! Hey, that's your right, so go ahead...

The games are only two hours: Unless my kids are with me, I never buy the overpriced crap they sell at the concessions. Maybe I can afford it nowadays, but my parents grew up in the Great Depression and it takes a couple of generations to be far enough removed to where you don't mind being gouged.

I started the thread about concessions. It had nothing to do with seating. Another hijacked thread

I go to Top Dog before the game and just bring the food into the gym in a paper sack, then by a watered down soda once I'm inside. Next taste will be Saturday.

I'm doing the exact same thing tonight! Well not quite exact. No watered down soda. Bringing an unopened plastic bottle of water. Costs about 30 cents or so. Putting it underneath an ice pack in my clear plastic Cal bag to keep it cold. Top and a garlic I think tonight. Mustard, sauerkraut, and relish. At least that will be good even if the game isn't.
Precisely. During the Fox era I went to games basically to go to Top Dog.
You do realize that Top Dog is the same garbage you can buy at any grocery store?

This is like saying a steak at the best steakhouse in the world in the same steak as you can get at Safeway. Yes, they are both cuts of cow. Otherwise, they are worlds apart.
The toasted buns make it go, and of course way more dog choices and condiments than what you would have at home. And still very cheap -- can get two Top Dogs for under $10 that's pretty much a meal.

Which doesn't exactly match the FDA pyramid.
