Andre Kelly had 14 two years ago Jan 15, 2022 but earlier that season (November 18, 2021) had 15

ding ding ding ... we have a winner. Calumnus is right. It was Andre Kelly, but actually that wasn't my answer when I posted the question. It was kinda a trick question since I thought it was Tyson, but Kelly beat him by ONE DAY!

Interesting articles. The SI articles talks about Rene Herrerias recruiting Presley. Unfortunatley, Herrerias background IMHO (head coach at St. Ignatius, chief scout for Pete Newell), was about as inadequate to dealing with black athletes in the late 60s as it could be. He was replaced by Jim Padgett, who had a reputation for working well with black players. He recruited good ones (Ridgle, Charlie Johnson, Ainsley Truitt, Phil Chenier), but really couldn't figure how best to use them strategically. Also, there was no way in those years for Cal to get past the Kareem/Walton UCLA teams, and the conference only got a single NCAA bid at that time.

When I asked my quiz question I assumed the last Cal player to grab 14 boards was Rabb and didn't think Kelly ever had 14/15 rebounds although I remember he was a good rebounder

But the reason for the quiz was because I was surprised a small forward (Tyson) could get 14 rebounds vs Texas
