Well, we got smoked in the first match up, so it would be a huge confidence boost to make a game of it.

Really comes down to making free throws and half of the ridiculous threes we chuck up.

So Arizona in league play at home has done the following
Beat Colorado by 47
Beat Utah by 19
Beat usc by 15
Beat ucla by 6
My impression of Arizona is that they run extremely hot and cold. They can destroy people, but then have inexplicable losses like losing at osu/wsu/Stan or only beating ucla by 6 at home

UCLA nearly beat Arizona thanks to Mick Cronin getting T'd up. As long as we play stout defense and good offense, McKale Center may get real quiet.

The odds are usually set initially using models similar to Sagarin or Ken Pom. Then adjusted based on the action.
Due to Cal not having Tyson and Kennedy initially, then taking awhile to gel with them, Cal is underrated in the statistical models. Ken Pom shows Arizona by 21. The spread is down to 19. Could we lose by more? Of course. But I think there is about a 30% to 40% chance of that. Thus, objectively I think Cal plus 19 is a great bet (Ie better than 50% chance it pays off).
Bears were struggling a lot in December and they lost 100-81. I don't remember what the spread was on that game, but if you put tonight's spread on that game, Bears cover by .5.
We had 6 players in double figures last game. Bears are scoring psychotics…a bunch of 6'7 guys ball handlin', slashin' to the hole, shootin' the 3 rock, Euro steppin', monster boardin''and hard hoppin' to apocalyptic dunkin'!
Get a loan if you have to, buy mounds of chips and push them forward on Blue & Gold!

I'm afraid it's going to take a lot more than fight. Our guys always fight, but Arizona is just so much more talented. We don't belong on the same court as them, especially when the court is McKale.

I feel like Arizona is the only team we are outmatched. Whereas Jerod Haase has Tommy Lloyd's number (Stanford V Arizona games always go down to the wire). Wonder how Stanford always succeeds against them.
The blue hairs of Tucson, that make up the majority of the season ticket holders at McKale Center, are actually rattling their jewelry in approval they are so impressed with this clownstomping.

I missed the first 18 min and just flipped it on to find us down by 22. Wth? Did we forget to put on our scoring shoes? 30 points per half isn't going to get it done.

We came back from 20 to clip the Buffs, so never say never….but returning to the real world, I'm counting on Bears to at least cover the 19.5 in garbage time.
