According to ESPN. When was the last time that happened?!!!
I think the Stanford line was 1.5RedlessWardrobe said:
A week and a half ago when we played furd.

against furd, the early line was CAL by 1.5 and it closed at CAL by 2.5.
With a 2 pt win, those who bet on CAL early won and those who bet late lost.
I'll bet $1 that no one did thatJimSox said:graguna said:

But if you bet Cal early and Furd late you won both bets. It's called catching a middle!

Just checked. Cal up to -3. Maybe bettors are factoring in the sellout. (haha)

Does beating the spread still pay off if the team who beats it had to go to overtime to do it?
Just curious.
Thanks for this. It makes sense.01Bear said:SFCityBear said:

Generally, yes. Though it's possible (albeit highly unlikely) that someone makes a bet that is based solely on regulation. This would be more akin to a prop bet than a standard bet based on the spread.
Funny. Some people call it "sports handicapping." But when it comes right down to it, it's still gambling.SFCityBear said:Thanks for this. It makes sense.01Bear said:SFCityBear said:
