Turned it on to check how it was going. 2 points in 5 minutes? Three turnovers? Madsen has to to do a better job calling timeouts and getting these guys' heads on straight. I really don't like how easily we slip into a Fox-esque squad sometimes.

Lots of empty seats for such a good product.
Cougs doing a lot of foot shuffling upon receipt of ball and before they put it on floor. Is that not a travel anymore? It really jumps out at you.

Stayed close in ugly game, but in 90 seconds WSU went off with 8 straight points

They didn't come to play. Hopefully they keep it close enough to come out strong at half. I like the positive reinforcement approach Madsen seems to use, but this team needs to be yelled at today. They're playing lazy, sloppy basketball, and if you're collecting a check or getting a free education and not playing your heart out, you're a thief. This is unacceptable.

We have no answer for them right now, so I hope MM considers using more than three guys off the bench. This is when the shallowness of our bench is obvious. When only one out of your five starters has more than one FG it's time to see if someone else can get a hot hand - you don't wait to get down by 12 at halftime.
