We should go down there and take this game. We are the better team. Any predictions? Hard to know how they will play.

The refs are unbeatable for Bears at Maples.

Stanford has a good team with a bad coach. Haase will blow it for them.

FWIW Fox lost 4 of 4 games at Maples but Jones won 2 of 2.

Jones was bad, learning on the job, but he was better than Fox, who in his 4th year produced the worst record out of over 350 schools in the entire country while scoring the fewest points in the country and constantly being an *hole.

Even Jones and Fox exceeded expectations against Stanfurd... which makes me a little worried about this Thursday's go-round: Are we maybe going in overconfident? Talkin' 'bout us fans, as well as the players.

Coming off two straight losses, an overall losing record, and a chance to improve our pac-12 seeding, we better not be over confident. As a fan I am not overconfident because I know road games are really tough. See the Utah game.

I left my fan confidence on my seat at Haas the last game of our three-win season, have't seen it since.

I know you can't base everything on one game, but the Thursday night game might be our best gauge of MM's coaching ability. Its a game that will really provide a real benefit to us if we win (Pac12 seeding), I would expect Madsen to be prepared for it. As far as we know, the team is healthy. The two games we just played were going to be tough due to both the opponents and the location, but Thursday night's game is certainly winnable. This is Madsen's chance to really make a statement of ability. He should have our guys ready to play, no excuses. It will take a strong effort, because as been stated here several times, we won't be getting any favors from the refs. Looking forward to seeing what transpires.

They are 9-6 at home, losing to both Oregon's and Santa clara. We have a chance

Haase is terrible and is a dead man walking. Stanford lost to Oregon State at home.

The big test for Madsen will be the PAC-12 Tournament. Our goal has to be to win it. I don't expect us to, but how we look is going to tell us a lot.

Furd has lost 6 straight. They are reeling.

….aka overdue for a win. Unless of course you are the Bears coached by Wyking Jones or Mark Fox and the opposing coach says in the locker room before the game, "The Bears have lost 10 in a row, they are overdue for a win. Play hard."

*But the opposing coach that said that after Bears lost 16 in a row was a sage, like Mose Allison.

Anybody know what is going on with Stanfraud Basketball? They beat Arizona on the road early season but now have lost six straight game?

I am not aware of any guys they have lost to injury so it is a mystery how they have stumbled so badly lately?

While I agree the tournament is a big test, the game at furd is winnable and is right in front of us. How we do Thursday will probably be an indication of what we'll bring to Vegas next week.

Hasse's Furd teams have almost always looked good in December, then faded in February, but this season, he's taking it to a whole 'nother level.

The way the standings are today suggest that these 2 teams could very easily meet again in round 1 of the P12 tourney. Results elsewhere could move Cal or Stanford up or down 1 slot but a first round P12 tourney matchup is very possible.

Spencer Jones has had enough of losing to Cal teams over the years and will probably say he can't go.

On the other hand it seems teams often pick the Cal game to return to the court
