He's pretty much universally predicted to go late first or early second. I think the second round would be his absolute floor in a weak draft though. I'm predicting him to surprise some folks and land in the early 20's. Here's where I'd like to see him go though:
-23 to Milwaukee. Dame and Giannis are two of my favorite players in the game. They could have a bounce back season next year and it would be great to see Jaylon picking up solid minutes, or even starting, on a team that could make some waves in a very weak East.
-27 to Minnesota. A young and talented team that should be fighting for WCF bids for the next several years. He could be an ideal fit there since they need another ball handler, shot creator, and reliable scorer outside of Edwards. He can do all of that but wouldn't be relied on to be the main threat at any one. For a jack-of-all-trades player like Jaylon that would be a match made in heaven. Since they're already young and have their stars his age wouldn't be a drawback as an older rookie with a higher floor. They also have a great defense and even though his length can be a benefit there he would have guys all around him to help out with that transition.
-28 to Denver. Jaylon would be a bench player for them because they already have MPJ and Gordon in the starting lineup but they need some bench scoring and he'd get lots of offensive touches. Playing with Jokic and competing for championships would make it fun to follow.
-30 to the Celtics. For obvious reasons, playing with Jaylen, defending champs, chance to repeat, weak conference, etc.
-16 to Philly would be cool as a budget replacement for Tobias Harris and would also mean he outperformed early draft expectations. This one could change a lot depending on trades and free agency. Will they make a move for Paul George? Will Tobias be back? How is their overall roster around Embiid gonna change before opening night?
There are some other good landing spots in the early 2nd but I want to see him off the board in the first so I'm not gonna break them down (33 Milwaukee, 35 San Antonio, 37 Minny, 39 Memphis)
