Very good question. Last year they let in so many students that it seemed like almost the entire area south of the south basket was also students. What's happening this year and I wonder if there is time for the athletic department to do something to increase attendance? I haven't heard of any free ticket offer.

I would be surprised if an early December game like this, between two teams that haven't been that great in recent years, were anything close to a sellout. But I will be there. Go Bears! Beat Stanfurd!

I guess anyone with a combo pass can get a ticket. Not sure when this was first announced or how many people that is.

Don't be so negative. With a roster very few have had time to memorize and with two student bodies that are not even aware there is supposed to be a rivalry between the schools, my guess is that an available ducat to that game in an 11,000+ seat pavilion will be as rare as a Stresemann's Bristlefront.

Isn't it finals week? Anyway a big win over your crosstown rival is a great way to get positive energy and confidence for your test

Butts in the seats to support this team

PM if you need tix

It's dead week. Honestly a game at Haas would be a perfect way to start the week off from classes/flurry of finals studying

Watching Wisconsin vs Marquette, 18,000+ crowd. Will we ever see something like that at Haas again? I wonder if the pandemic permanently killed Bay Area crowds.

The Bay Area will flock to a winner. All of the (remaining) teams are less compelling then they have been in the past but retain ticket prices as if they did. The Warriors are still a tough ticket. It is a huge opportunity for Cal if we had competent leadership and marketing. Most importantly, winning teams thst challenge for championships.

Cal basketball under Madsen playing in the ACC with easy BART access to Haas and a lively downtown could be nightly sellouts if we become an ACC power (starting with winning more than we lose) with marketable star players, preferably local star players. Marketing opposing teams and star players works too,

Well, we're a half-decade (at least) away from that. Sitting at the team's first ACC game ever against a century old local rival, I see less than half a sellout.

Teams assemble quickly these days and the bandwagon can get rolling quickly. We had crowds for Game Day and Big Game many multiples of Haas' capacity. Not saying it <will> happen, just saying it <could> and could happen quickly if the pieces come together. Just landing Kidd did it before.

Ticket prices must be raised in order to increase their value.
