Forgot they were playing. Tuned in to watch one minute of us turning it over twice and allowing 4 offensive rebounds and three 3pt shots ending with a deep one for a 13pt deficit. Abysmal.

I'm still trying to figure out how we're getting worse as the season progresses. I definitely did not have this one on my bingo card.

Wild speculation - Madsen and the other coaches have been stressing certain defensive positions and actions and now the players are thinking too much, instead of playing.75bear said:

It is that the Bears are ridiculously easy to scheme. You play a 2-3. Big guy in the middle to contest our quick but soft PG who are not really great interior passers. Dare the shooting challenged Bears to beat you from three (we have thrown some SERIOUS bricks up). Meanwhile on D rely upon our slow footed 4 and 5 and just run hedge screens and pick and pops.75bear said:

I really, really, really want to believe Madsen is the answer. But down 18 to Cornell at halftime with 13 TO's is beyond embarrassing.

He needs to go. We have to stop hiring based on nepotism. Montgomery couldn't get us to the sweet sixteen or NIT championship like Braun did and yet we put him on a pedestal and accept whatever he says. Madsen? Your player? Sure we will take him.
Both football and basketball need to hire from outside to bring in a winning culture. Get winning coordinators from B1G/SEC and ACC for football and basketball respectively and change whatever the heck we are doing.
