Strange game

Cal came out swinging and BC couldn't score

Then their guard got a lucky put back, but Cal was still in control

Then BC went on a huge run mostly on mid range shots by their guard

Then Cal closed the half strong to go up 11 at half

Jovan leading the scoring on efficient shooting

Strange game indeed. So far, so good though.

Jerod Haase should stick to coaching. But I guess he wasn't very good at that either.

Haase says he should be an official if the broadcasting or coaching thing doesn't work out. He'd probably be terrible at that too. Maybe has a better shot with that though?

Back from the Haas: So glad we won; I'm gonna repress from my memory the fact that we coulda lost.

Huge admiration for Sissoke and Petraitis... and I'm really glad that Blacksher was able to finish strong!

I'll never forget Haase' extra-long consoling from Roy Williams after we lost to Kansas. I was thinking at the time, whoa, that's weird. Sure enough, he transfers there.a few weeks later.

We could have lost this game on free throws but we picked up the intensity to win going away. It helped that we stopped that worthless weave and started taking it to the basket.

I just saw the stats - our 4 bench players provided 35 minutes, 5 points, 5 rebounds, 5 fouls, 6 turnovers, 1 block, and 1 steal. That would not bode well for a long season but I don't think what's left of our season will be long. The good news is our starters looked great and we'll get at least one more game in the ACC Tournament.
