absolutely, gambling on steals and giving up layups, and then trapping at the inbound which allows stanford to run down the court for a transition basket after made FGs. Those cannot happen at this level we were defending them well without gambling for steals.Troll On You Bears said:

Awesome effort. I still feel there is no program more cursed than ours. Starting backcourt out. Keep the game close and lose on the final seconds. This is always what it means to be a Cal fan!

Lot of heart. Not a lot of brains down the stretch. Solid effort. Pretty clear that a lineup change could have made a big difference this year but Madsen must have either promised a player, or a donor, or just isn't that sharp. Anyway, Andrej did a great job upping his stock. What a terrible ending to a very rough season. Mark needs to do better in all aspects of coaching, and recruiting. Hope he can.

Was that Stojakovic block call really a block? Could've went either way but who cares. We fought and that is all that mattered
Last thing I have to say about the refs was that block was not clean

Madsen needs to upgrade his assistant coaches. So many lapses and strategic and tactical misshaps. I think the talent on the team is underrated - many were not put in position to succeed. Great team effort and great heart - esp Mady and Rytis
Now they have to hope Stojakovic and Wilkinson stay..

Great, gutsy effort by the Bears tonight. Without Wilkinson and Blacksher in the lineup, I didn't think they had a chance in this game. But the guys showed an amazing amount of heart and stamina to almost beat the nasty Furds. Very proud of these guys.
