Have an annual doubleheader, if not mini tournament.
The four teams would be 1 from each bucket:
* Big Ten: USC, UCLA, Oregon, UW
* Big 12: Arizona, ASU, Colorado, Utah
* ACC: Stanford, Cal
* other: OSU, WSU, SMC, SJSU, Fresno, etc wild card…
This way, Cal Stanford would go every other year.
The LA schools could do the exact same thing at Staples or Clippers.
But whatever, the bean counters are way beyond us.
