California men's basketball has signed 6-foot-3 guard Jordan Ross to join the Golden Bears as a transfer addition for head coach Mark Madsen's 2026-27 squad.
Coming to Cal as a senior, Ross is a Pleasant Grove, Utah, native who played two seasons at Saint Mary’s before competing last season at Georgia. He started 25 games for the Bulldogs and averaged 6.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists, hitting double digits eight times in his 32 total appearances.
With the Gaels, Ross started 35 games with 63 total appearances as a freshman and sophomore. Saint Mary’s won back-to-back West Coast Conference titles and reached the NCAA tournament both years during Ross’ time in Moraga. As a sophomore, he recorded 13 double-digit outings and averaged 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
“Jordan has one of the most impressive resumes of any point guard in the portal.” Madsen said of Ross. “He boasts a nearly 3:1 assist-to-turnover ratio and has helped his team to the NCAA tournament in each year of his college basketball career. Jordan will be a huge addition to the Cal family!”

Ross prepped at Pleasant Grove (Utah) High School before attending Link Academy as a junior and Arizona Compass Prep as a senior, playing in Geico National title games in 2022 and 2023. He was a four-star recruit and top-100 prospect in 2023.
Ross joins a Cal program that made big strides in 2025-26 in recording the most wins in a season (22) since 2016 and its first postseason win since 2014. Last season's squad also recorded eight games with 90-plus points scored and had five players ranked in top-100 national statistical categories.
Currently, Ross is one of five newcomers officially signed on for 2026-27, joining incoming freshman guard/forward Dionycius Bakare and transfers Michael Cooper, Nojus Indrusaitis and Jake Wilkins.
