The Rodcast: Portal Transfer Guard Michael Cooper

On today’s Rodcast, we have Cal transfer Michael Cooper on the pod. We spoke about why he chose Cal, visiting Berkeley as a visiting player, who else on the team he thinks is going to make an impact this season (it may surprise you), and why he has the Louisville game marked on his calendar.

In case you haven’t seen the film breakdown, Cooper is a sturdy, high-IQ guy who plays big on defense and can create his own shot on offense. It was fun to get his perspective on how his game has evolved, but especially since that tape was from his second college game. According to Cooper, he’s acclimated to the offense and could fill the Dai Dai Ames role. He’s also been working with Madsen on the defensive side of the ball, and settling into Cal’s “new” zone.
