...but of course I will...

This is what I said after the ONE game where he couldn't do anything right....

Agree. He is a competitor and was getting his first Pac12 start in a rivalry game. His confidence and aggressive attitude reminds me of the No Fear attitude of another Cal Bear in his freshmen year...Ty Wallace.

From everything I've heard he is a high character guy. He had a bad game and tried to do too much, this game just gives me more confidence that he will be a player for Cal

His pouting on the bench, blaming teammates during a botched pass during the Stanford game. Somehow OP thinks dropping 32 points erases that, it doesn't, but it shows us how competitive this kid is and what a talented scorer he can be.

I didn't like his attitude. Pouting on the bench and blaming teammates when he couldn't handle a pass. Him and jabari need to be a little more even keeled.

I think you over-reacted to him showing a little frustration.

Seriously .... anyone commenting on an 18 year old kid expressions and demeanor can't seriously be proud and sure of everthing he or she did at 18 years old

Are you serious? He's a great kid, I encourage you to meet him -- extremely personable and comes from a great family. Don't confuse his competitive fire with blaming his teammates. There is a difference.

Yeah I am. But if I'm overreacting I wonder what you'd call the suggestion that I evaluate my life at 18 before making an observation that is verifiable on tape.

Did I attack his character? No. I just highlighted one instance where he got visibly annoyed at a teammate for an imperfect (but still catchable) pass. It was obvious enough that the commentator even pointed it out.

I believe Matthews attitiude serves him well. he is feisty...puts it all out there. He has to know that he cant get down if his shots dont fall. It has been said...shooters shoot their way out of a slump.

Jordan Matthews had a great attitude i.e. "I'm going to make this shot, and this one, and this one...." Really had a great shooting game. The team had a great game as well. I'm not sure Oregon is as good as advertised but I think we just made a good team look ordinary. Monty seems to own them.

There was one play where he and Cobbs misfired on a pass and Matthews stood there making gestures at Cobbs like it was Cobbs' fault. To me it looked like Matthews failed to move to an open spot that Cobbs anticipated. No big deal except that his blaming Cobbs was obvious enough that Monty got on him and the announcers called him out for it. It was not something I'd want to see from a player if I were a coach. But it was one play, not a general attitude - disappointing but he was no doubt very frustrated at that point because he was having a very bad game.

The good news is that he responded wonderfully to having a bad game.

Wonder how you would do living your life in the public eye at age 18 ... Lest he be judged cast the first stone.

I don't argue that his reaction in that one instance was a tad childish but not really notable regardless of what the ridiculous announcer said. Enuf for coach to say "grow up", but NOT enuf to start a thread about, suggesting that he is may be a problem going forward! We will have to disagree about that one.
