Nice, early start after Colorado had a close game with USC yesterday.

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=400544185

30-37 minutes for all their starters.

Poor shooting:
2-9 3s.
9-16 FTs.

4-14 for Josh Scott

Hopefully their confidence is a little shaken. Need all the help we can get for a crucial game today.

What I like about this game is that it should give a lot of clarity to whether Cal even belongs in the NCAA Tourney or not. I don't think even the most blue-and-gold diehard Bear fan would argue that this team deserves to go at 19-13 and with losses in 4 of their last 5 games.

Now, with back to back wins over a 21-win Colorado team, I think Cal's case becomes a lot more compelling, regardless of the semis.

Let's hope that trend continues - they are a pretty streaky team. Much tougher team in Boulder at altitude, but they gave us all we could handle in Berkeley last Sat.

Bears need to come out aggressive and set the pace. An up tempo game would really play well with the fact that their starters played so many minutes yesterday. I think overall the fatigue factor is over-rated, as these are college athletes that can run for days. I think it's more of a bumps & bruises thing. Perhaps a few of their big guys received some nicks from the USC bangers

Good point. Prove you are worthy. There's every opportunity to show it today.

Agree. This is a very worthy test. Not too hard, not too easy.

If we can get the win, I also hope we see some more progress in righting the ship to be more like our old selves as we were during the early part of the season. Seems like in past season Monty's teams may have peaked too soon going into the tournament only to get bounced. Maybe this team has been holding back a bit mentally for a big push. Now would be the time to PUSH.

Very big opportunity that is not too tall of a task. This would give us 5 wins over top-50 RPI teams, 2 being on the road and 1 against a #1 seed candidate.

I'd say that our NCAA tournament begins at 2:30

Pretty much this. If we win we deserve to be in. If not, we don't.
