Anyone able to obtain ticket information? Went to their web site and stub hub and found nothing? Probably. Not a big arena

I don't think it will be a problem to get tickets, maybe not on the floor or lower section, but inside the arena. We have made last minute decisions to go to games every year for the last 3 or 4 and had no problem getting a ticket. Nevada has not been strong the last few years.

As it gets closer I'll track down some info.

A quick check on the Nevada Wolfpack site shows single game tickets for Cal - NV Dec 7 at 1:00pm go on sale 11/3/14 at 10:00 am. -
http://ev8.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventList?groupCode=HG&linkID=twunr&shopperContext=&caller=&appCode=&format=grpMenu
or start here: http://www.nevadawolfpack.com/sports/m-baskbl/unv-m-baskbl-body.html

Nevada is picked to finish 8th in the 11 team Mountain West conference with 2 starters returning from last year's team which went 10-8 in Conference and 15-17 overall.

My guess is that tickets will be readily available. When that date comes I'll get some pricing info and anymore current news on the wolf pack team.

I am thinking of going to this game. The Lawlor Events Center holds 11,784, and it looks like the game is popular. I just sent an email to the alumni chapter to see if they are doing anything for the game. Bad weather will keep me away though.

Go Bears!

Barring a storm, I'll make the early morning drive and take advantage of cheap Sunday night hotel pricing.

Strange nothing for sale on stub hub. Was looking for some lower level seats.

I received this reply when I asked the local alumni chapter about activities:

We're are planning a pre-event, just haven't finalized where / when. As to hotel, should be lots of deals at one of the casinos.

Will get back to you on event location.

Today's email from John: Richard - Chet is handling the ticket purchase for us. We're meeting at the Little Waldorf at 11:00 before the game.
Chet - please reach out to Richard and help him with tickets, either directly or through Danelle at UNR.
GO BEARS!!

This is from an email from Chet Curtis. Tickets are $22 per head. They are "going fast" so let me know if you would like to purchase in our block. "Where to stay". I suggest going online to The Silver Legacy in Reno. It is on Virginia Street, just down the hill from University of Nevada. Email him at campcurtis@aol.com if you want to buy tickets.

When I was just a baby, my mama told me, "Son
Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns"
But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowin' I hang my head and cry

I know. And that's why......

.......I turned twenty-one in prison doing life without parole
No one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried
Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading I denied
That leaves only me to blame 'cause Mama tried

Has there been a determination or designation for Cal sections yet? I am planning to go to the game but haven't quite finalized everything. I have a room in Reno so accommodations are not a problem

When I get some tickets, I just wanted to be close to the Cal sections (if there are any in particular). Thanks.

Also, is there still going to be a gathering before the game??

The Tahoe Alumni Chapter has a group going to the game. I am in Santa Rosa, but I contacted them about the game. Here is the information from them:

Bears In The Woods has secured a block of tickets. They are the "best available" in the house, at Center Court above the Cal Bench.

We look forward to being together at the Cal -Nevada basketball game. It will be great fun. The majority of the 24 folks in our block of tickets are meeting at the Little Waldorf restaurant across Virginia Street from Lawler Events Center at Nevada where the game will be played. Most are planning on arriving at 11:00 for a No Host brunch and then walk across the street to the game.

Brian Raney, Associate Director of Development at Cal is coming up with his wife and joining us at The Little Waldorf. We have a room set aside. Should be fun.

Following up on the info in Post #13 on the first page of this thread, I was able to purchase tickets this afternoon immediately next to the local alumni group's block, which was sold out. That alumni group is still planning to have a get together before the game.

I'll be there to cover the game. I'll try to get to the Little Waldorf before everyone takes off for the game. Just not sure how early I can get out there.

How long should people be there before taking off?

MB, Little Waldorf is about 1500 ft from Lawler Event Center just up the hill on Virginia St. So people leaving around 12:30 will have plenty of time to get down there and in their seats before tip-off.

We can get to our Parking area before Football games in about 3:30 -3:45 cruising at 70ish. That's from Sparks. So coming from Moraga and going against any 'coming home' traffic you should be able to make it a bit over 3 hours. There is parking both North and South of Lawler, just follow the signs. It used to be free but if there is a fee, this is not the Bay Area .

It ended up being 3 hours on the dot. Did the whole trip same day turnaround. Worth it for a win but a loss would've been brutal.

Only had @15 minutes at Little Waldorf's when I found out my credential and parking pass were a half hour round trip away at the Marriott but got to see TahoBear and meet calgldbear and his family at least. I did go back for a burger after the game report and doing the interview and story on Saffle's commitment (football) before heading back home. Not bad. Better atmosphere than food, imo.

Now you have a sense of what our football ping-pings are about. They can long days after a loss.

Re: Waldorf, you got it. Okay food, nice atmosphere especially on gameday.
