won't play Sunday. according to another poster Bird told him it is a sprained ankle. No official comment from martin, although I don't think he is allowed to elaborate

I have seen this team play in person. They are the worst product wearing a Nevada uniform I have seen in my lifetime. No ifs ands or buts about it. Horrendous. I will predict this team doesn't win double digit games. Coleman gets his pocket picked and stays and watches the play. We spend more time complaining about fouls than playing defense. The effort given is pathetic. There are maybe two guys on this squad who could have played for TJ or Mark Fox. Sometimes you play and the other team is just more talented than you. I get that, but getting beat like a drum by LBSU, Nebraska-Omaha, and Weber State is troubling because these kids have no passion and don't play hard.

We need to clean house on the coaching level and bring in some new blood. Recruiting a basketball coach is a whole different animal, and I believe we have the financial resources to recruit a guy who can come in and return this program to what it should be. It may take a couple of years, but we need to do it.

Nevada thru 7 games has 53 assists and 104 T/Os -
They've held opponents to 38.2% FG shooting but still have a 2-5 record. So they can play some D but are really inconsistent Offensively.

They lost to Seton Hall and Clemson but that was in the U.S. Virgin Islands at something called the Paradise Jam. That's a long haul from Reno. But to lose to Weber St, and Nebraska-Omaha even is it's on the road is pretty weak. The Pack coaching staff just doesn't seem to be of the caliber of Mark Fox and his predecessor (drawing a blank, went to Stanford for a while).

Execute the Offense and play good D, force the T/Os and go home with a win.
