Kerr is a classy dude.
All those idiot f**ktard "journalists" trying to indict Cuonzo and our program for what one guy did really makes my blood boil. I'll name names--I'm talking about C.W. Nevius, Ann Killion, the editor of the CC Times, Scott Ostler, and whoever else.

"My son was a walk-on there this year. He had an incredible experience with his teammates, with the coaching staff, with Cuonzo," Kerr said before Golden State hosted the Los Angeles Clippers. "I wanted to say thanks for the season that Cal had and for the experience that my son had. All I wanted to vouch for was his character. He's been an incredible mentor for my son, phenomenal coach, and I just wanted to say thanks for that. I know that the program is going through some turmoil with the issue that's happening. ... I just know from my son and getting to know Cuonzo what kind of person he is, and I wanted to support him."

What did Ostler write? He's usually a jokester - and generally pro-Cal. I also wonder how much of this is their personal angle or whether it is an editor instructing them to pile on or take a specific side.
But yeah - the media has changed so much in the recent past and I just see these guys as desperately trying to hang on - sort of sad in a sense. Even sadder that most of it is negative, unoriginal, inaccurate and poor wordcraft these days.

In his "Deep Thoughts, Cheap Shots" column, Ostler had this to say about the situation: "Cuonzo? Gon-zo."
