Don't think you're missing anything. It is a great deal for those that attend many but not all games, don't mind random seating and have no interest in selling their tickets to others.

That's what sold me. My ability to see games is dictated by my travel schedule so most of the ticket packages just don't make sense. Yeah, I'm sure I'll be in nosebleed for Furd, UCLA, Zona (although that's over holiday break so you never know), etc., but at least I'll be in the Haas and it also saves me the trouble of going on Stubhub (though I've scored some great seats there, I've spent more on a single ticket than I did on these passes - and I may still try there for better seats from time to time). And maybe I'll get lucky on some of the lesser games on the schedule. Either way, at least the money goes straight to Cal and if I cant go to a game, Cal can sell the tickets once over so good on em. Props to the ATO for a innovative way to sell tix. (Note: if they totally screw this up I reserve the right to revise my assessment).

That's why I bought 2 passes (it's always more fun to share a game with fellow Bear fans) and GRRAAH has taken me to enough NCAA Tourney games that I owe him whenever he's in town. The downside being he has to sit next to me (I'm obnoxiously loud).

Since chairbacks require a significant donation, I doubt the ATO would kick any available ones down to pass holders for fear of pissing off the donors. Regardless, I do hope for some decent seats for the less desirable games, but even if that doesn't happen, the cost is less than 10 buck per tilt, and knowing that you're guaranteed seats for the more popular games, even nosebleeds, is definitely worth more than that imo.

I bought one today (Fri Nov 4th) for $138. I.e., they lowered the price $7. (Maybe to account for the Exhibition game already being completed?)

Yup. The only times I've had to sit in my assigned seat were games that are truly sold out. Which happens maybe once a year. Otherwise, I can generally move a lot closer to the court, without bothering anyone.

I went in for two; at least the tip off times are locked in well in advance :|

I got 6 of these for football and they've been great. They text a main contact a link day or two before the game where you can go and get your barcodes and seat assignments. There is a button on the page that the ticket scanner can press to ensure that it's not a screenshot, but I haven't seen anyone press it. I have been sending my friends their tickets via screenshot.

Would love to hear your expereince with the seating at the end of the season, maybe go that route instead of season tix next year for FB.

Been happy with our seats. Stands haven't been exactly full either, we moved to EE for Utah, but stayed in our seats for the other games.

I think it was $90 IIRC.

Am I correct in assuming that purchasing the pass would not count towards 'season tix' Bear Backer points?

Same thing happened to me when I clicked the link in the text -- page didn't load any content. I was successful though going in through bearitorypass.com.

Also a note for anybody who had trouble getting their barcode scanned at Haas -- make sure your phone brightness is turned up.

All info says seats are released 2-3 hours before tipoff.

So we should be receiving text update to check seat locations at 4-5pm.

I think I was maybe thinking of a different promo, maybe the "Gold Zone" package?

Anyways, regarding basketball, I got my codes to load (Firefox on Marshmallow)when I got to Haas, but still couldn't find out or trigger it to display the seat assignment, so I just explained to one of the ticket checkers and helped myself to some chairbacks behind the student section. Hopefully I (or the programmers) will figure out before the VA game how I am supposed to know what seats I've been assigned.

Anyone else have this issue? Barcodes but no seat data?

Finally going to use the passes for tomorrow's game, but I have to say for a non-conf opponent on a Wednesday, the seats kinda suck (Sec 10, Row 27). Oh well, next year (and maybe most of this) I'll be back on stubhub.

Just checked for tomorrow's game and already have seat assignments (and they're nosebleed/end of court) - the barcodes won't be released until day-of. Not very optimistic about seat placement moving forward if this is what you get for the Anteaters on a Wednesday.
