4-7 on three pointers 16 points, 5 assists. Damn

At this point, and because of the small sample size, I'll hedge and say that it's a straight up swap. My expectation is that Mullins has the ability to be better because of his handle and the effort he demonstrated on defense. His shot has a tendency to come out flat a few times a game, but he's on target and deadly when open. Plus, and most importantly in my mind, he WANTS to be here.

Thank you, petalumabear. You are a wiser and more temperate man than I am. We will know more in time, and I have rushed to judgement...
So far, I am loving this year's team, particularly given that Ivan has not yet played.
Go Bears!

I am not rooting against him. Hate Zaga for quasi-tampering. But Jordan got his degree so good will and god speed.
(BTW - if you are frustrated that one of our GRADUATES decided to move on then your priorities are, I might submit, slightly askew. It isn't professional - it is college...and Mathews is a college grad.)

LOL... Did you say "older".?
This is a discussion board and no opinion of yours is wrong, only mine.. If you doubt that just ask Schlocky. I sat directly across from the Royal Midget last night. I have to give him props for showing up in Cal color last night. Blue jeans and a bright blue pair of shoes (OJ-esque)..
I am so happy that hoops is going again that I was happy at the 7pm game time... Imagine that..
At any rate, I enjoyed the effort shown last night and was pleased by our 3 new guys (Charlie and Don showed they are frosh and Mullins showed he's played a little at this level) and our senior group of lesser (so far) lights in Domingo and Roger. This is going to be a more enjoyable team (early opinion) than last years...
Go Bears!!

Jordan who?

Jordan Mathews...does not play for Cal, so who cares?
Based on the minimal info of one game, I slightly prefer Mullins because he does a lot more than Mathews. Will have to see what he does against better competition. That being said, I much prefer Mullins because he is a bear, not a Zag.

Just don't remember him. What number did he wear?
He did finish as a Bear academically. In fact he did so so impressively enough that he was able to take his talents somewhere else. No fault in him doing so.blungld;842759945 said:
Not down on him, but definitely disappointed to not have him finish as a Bear.

Jeez poop. I'm a season ticket holder and just having some fun given his departure...

Jordan was a good player for CAL. His Dad was a pain in the ass and made coaching Jordan impossible...thus the transfer.

I did not say "older," as you likely are not. I have noticed many times of late that when I look around (restaurant, public shower room, etc.), I am thinking, damn, I'm the oldest person here! Fortunately age so far has not diminished my passionate love for the game of basketball!
Go Bears!
