It's been said elsewhere, but major kudos to SD for knocking down those free throws late in the UW game!
What I liked a bit more than that, however, was our defense on Fultz - specifically SD's.
We had Charlie on him some, Coleman on him some, and then Domingo was on him late. I liked the move b/c Fultz had sized up his prey (er, uh, defenders) and then we put the taller/longer Domingo on him. I think it was after Charlie's 4th foul that Martin went to Domingo. Fultz seemed to be wanting to abuse Moore moments before, but Domingo continually fought thru screens (which were designed to get Fultz a switch) - but Domingo stuck with Fultz. Fultz didn't get the ball, or passed it off.
And Fultz seemed to shrink from the moment of the closing minutes, deferring to his teammates. This was at a time I thought Fultz would try to take over and close out the game.
In a battle of the moment, I'd say that Domingo won!

Spot on CT - Stephen played excellent defense and with his length and aggressiveness, really nullified Fultz down the stretch. Great to see, as many posters have been unusually harsh on SD and few have acknowledged his key play in the team's victory. The players were very happy to see SD taste some success (though in limited minutes) as he has continued to practice hard and has been a consistent "team supporter/player" regardless of his diminished playing time. Hopeful Singer regains his aggressiveness in penetrating/creating with the ball, as the last couple of games have not been what He was doing previously.
Enjoy seeing how close and supportive the team is - regardless of who is producing on the court. Saturday needs to be a win to keep the momentum building, before the difficult Oregon trip. OSU is certainly down, but we have struggled up there in recent years. Hope the fans come out in strong numbers tomorrow.

Good for Stephen. Him making those two free throws was my favorite part of Thursday's game

I almost feel like Judy Garland, or Rodney King: G*d: With all of us pulling so hard for Stephen, and him working so hard and dedicated, he's GOT to overcome! Although I couldn't think of a way to say that which didn't call up cynicism, it was, nevertheless, completely believed.

I have always said SD was a great hustler, a good defender and rebounder. He has now learned not to shoot. This is great - he is now more valuable to the team than before.
Unfortunately, there are very few decent passers on the team and almost no one uses the bounce pass. Is that concept dead?
This team needs to pass better and shoot fts better or they won't even make the NIT.

I'm giving CM credit for coming up with that match-up. SD was a big contributor in limited minutes Thursday.

Domingo was huge defensively in the second half against Wazzu. We lose that game with out his work out there.

nice to see Domingo hit the 3
however, the next time he shot a contested 3 with lots of clock left. not a good idea
however he played some good defense in this close win so good to see him contributing
