I guess no one saw what I saw on TV which was the change of ball direction. When the ball first bounced off of Cal player, it was going straight towards the basket (where it originally came from). After WSU player went down for the ball, the ball changed the direction and went out of bounds diagonally. Am I the only one that saw this?

While it wasn't clear to me, my friend saw the same thing that you describe.

I also spoke with Roxy after the game, and asked him directly about that play. He confirmed that the officials had come over to he and Monty to ask them if TV had any other replay angles than the ones they were looking at on the scorer's table monitor. Roxy told the official they did not. Roxy also confirmed that the replay everyone was looking at in the gym was not part of the broadcast TV feed, but was on the internal TV system at the gym, and was not available to the officials on the scorer's table monitor. Roxy also said that he and Monty looked at the replays they had a number of times, and could not conclude that Wazzu touched the ball last. He said by rule, unless the replay is conclusive, the call on the floor can't be overturned. I'm not sure why the in-house feed is not available to the officials on the scorer's table monitor. Seems to me they should have access to whatever the TV broadcast has shot, and to anything that everyone else in the gym can see. Fortunately, we survived that call.
