It is clear after a couple of years, that this staff has their way to play, and has little ability to adjust . CM tried to zone up but it is not his thing, and they do not practice it much. IT SHOWED. I also have noticed that Cunzo rarely stands up for his team when there is a bad call or when his team has stalled. I have felt for sometime he needs a strong assistant coach who has the authority to mix up the offense. He seems easy to coach against, although I also know he has a very limited roster.

For the first time in the Cuonzo era I think Cal played scared. The Bears were defeated even before the opening tip. They played scared. They played with no passion. Oregon's bigs got to the rim at will and Oregon's 3-point shooters constantly got open for 3's. If Cal had lost by 23 and played really hard, I'd have no issue but it looked resigned to losing. And it wouldn't hurt occasionally if Cuonzo fought for his players on questionable calls instead of sitting there talking to his assistants. He looked disinterested late in the first half. This loss is on him.
