Our technology partner F5 uses Microsoft Azure and earlier today, a lighting strike hit on of MS's data center, causing the outage for Bear Insider and 20 other college websites. Apologize it has taken so long to come back up.

Ben Franklin demonstrated a few centuries ago, that proper grounding and lightning can effectively prevent this type of internet downtime. And yes, Franklin was ahead of his time with the internet too.

Thanks for the explanation! Just glad it didn't occur during signing day or CHAT or during a game or something.
