Back up with the Grizz. Played well Wednesday in Portland. These guys sound bullish on him.

Grizzlies play in Sacramento tonight, at Lakers Sunday. I am attending the Laker game, expecting him to get some clock.

He's gonna have trouble stealing minutes from Jaren Jackson (who is a future star IMO) and JaMychal Green.

I believe if Ivan was given 30 mins a night he would average 10 and 10....I don't see where Memphis is so good that they don't need 10 and 10 per night....Maybe I'm wrong...not about Ivan but about Memphis....

Noah just walked by me outside the Grizz locker room here at Staples. Total d-bag. Bickerstaff talking about him now. Loves him. But says he's hurt and might not play tonight.

Commenting on great attitude, lifts teammates, great passer.

Also, looks like he killed it somewhere down here last night.

Just checked in with Ivan. He's off to watch film. I think he will get some clock tonight.

Just spoke with Grizz GM Chris Wallace re: Ivan. "He has done everything we have asked of him. Has dominated the G-League. We call him the G-League Tim Duncan. He can shoot, pass, do just about everything. Smart and a great teammate. Has played well for us when he gets a chance. He just needs to hang in there until he has more opportunities, and make the most of them when he does get a chance. He will be in the NBA a long time. No question about it."

Played 2 1/2 first half minutes. One D-Board, ran court well, assist for a 3FG, sweet block on Mo Wagner. Also missed a runner in the lane, which he should have finished through contact.

Jaren Jackson, Jr. going nuts. 16 points 5 boards here late in the second.

Nothing wrong with this line. 10 minutes, 4 points (on a left-handed tip-in and a sweet tip-dunk), 4 boards. +1 +/- in an 8-point win. Effective in the pick-and-roll, system works for him. Grizzlies like him. I'm optimistic.

Shocked (not really) the Kings took Bagley over Jaren Jackson, Jr. (to speak nothing of Doncic). Dude is a beast.

Thanks for the info Eric....I still see him as a 10 and 10 guy with a decent amount of minutes....Ivan is not the type of player who will jump off the page at you but he also won't lose a lot of games for you....I hope the GM's assessment is right and Ivan has a long NBA career.....

I made several posts about Ivan last season after checking stats per minute for the Grizzlies and he led the team in rebounds per minute and averaged double digits in both rebounds and points if given starter minutes.
My best High School buddy works the clock for Grizzlies and believes they will dump him soon. I disagree and point out his per minute stats which he has yet to acknowledge as having any relevance. They definitely need to give him about 20-25 minutes per game. Memphis coaching and management very iffy.

Ivan's best skill maybe his rebounding. long, good hands, blocks out, knows where the ball will be coming off the rack

I remember predicting he will the best cal rebounder ever. I have no idea if that became true. Probably best measure is rebounds per minute

I prefer percentage of all rebounds while the player is on the court, but that requires a play-by-play to calculate.

Noah got 11 minutes last night. Ivan DNP-CD.
