I wonder if they make coaching changes? The drop off post Steve Fisher is pretty major. They're just bad.

I am pretty sure the Aztecs will not fire Coach Dutcher. At least anytime soon.

Here is a couple of reasons.

-Coach Dutcher is only in his 2nd year. In his first year, even though the Aztecs did not play great, they did rally and make the NCAA Tourney. So in his only full year, he took the Aztecs to the Dance.

-Next is the age old Mid Major money problem. Coach Dutcher is signed thru I believe 2 more years. The Aztec Atheltic Dept. can not eat that salary.

-#3 Is how I look at the situation (and yes, I have been wrong a few times), but this Aztec team is almost all Frosh and Sophs. In fact they have 5 freshman on the squad and all of them are going to contributors. Probably all of them by opening day next season. Besides the 5 frosh (which includes 2 guys at 6-10/6/11), 3 of their starters are sophs. The combo of not having the funds to buy out AND that he first recruiting classes look very good will keep him around at least 2 more years IMO.

With that being said, who knows in today's college sports world. Anything can happen.
