A guy on the rivals board is saying several may wear paper bags as they sit right across from Wyking Jones. Doesn't seem to be picking up traction but I would not be surprised to see something happen. My grand son is being baptised that days so I have an out.
Childish. And on top of that its been done several times before.

And in a bizarre way its kind of symbolic because the specific bashers that have acted in a juvenile way would not have the balls to show their face anyway.
There's no need to embarrass or badmouth Wyking at this point. Clearly it's academic that he will be gone after this season. Although the way we did nothing about an OC that lost us at least 3 football games makes me concerned in this situation too. Nah, he'll be gone so we probably shouldn't have to get too worked up over it.
So the reason not to do this is due to the fact that the coach will be fired anyway?

Any Cal fan over the age of 22 would be embarrassing THEMSELVES to pull a stunt like this.

Agree. When we were 20, it might have seemed like a good idea.Do something else. Go watch a play or go to a concert. As bad as this is, you can't let it consume you.I have been guilty of this as it was one of my favorite things to do. I have stopped going to games but still watch on tv.

Generally agree with your sentiments OD. But how about just staying on course and realizing that Cal Basketball is going through a bad time right now, just like 90% of the 350 or so college teams do? (Exceptions: See Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan St., and another 20 or so).

I wonder how fans of schools like Wash St,, Oregon St., and some others have felt over the last 20 years? Compare their long term performance to schools like Cal.

And how about the season that West Virginia is having this year?

We will never be a perennial top 20 team. That's just the state of college basketball. But every once in a while we'll be good enough to raise expectations.

So enjoy Cal Basketball for what it is. This is truly the first "down cycle" that we have had in a long time. I prefer to accept it and stick with it.

Youngsters do not know how to conjugate their rear ends. Their idea of punctuation begins and ends with the mighty comma. There are many subjects we do not teach anymore: punctuation, grammar, spelling, geography, civics, the constitution and elementary logic have become as extinct as the dinosaurs. A few decades ago, many students thought that history began with the Beatles. Now, many students think history began with Barack Obama. AOC ( who is 29) recently said that climate change will be our new world war 11. of course, she also said that cows fart too much and, as a result, we should change our eating habits. This genius isa now a candidate for Mt. Rushmore according to some savants. When I grew up, the ceiling for AOC would be a security guard at Starbucks. On the other hand, she is pretty. In six years, she will run for president. And, if cows have any sense, they will have applied for deportation prior to her inauguration date.
This post ought to win a Golden Oski.

World War 11

Mt. Rushmore strawman

In six years, it will be 2025. The next presidential election won't be until 2028.

And then the post about the ceiling for her employment. How dare she be a Congress person in such an austere body of people who have said the following dumb things.

Mo Brooks: "What about erosion? Every time you have that soil or rock, whatever it is, that is deposited into the seas, that forces the sea levels to rise because now you've got less space in those oceans because the bottom is moving up."

Steve King: "White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization how did that language become offensive?""

King on immigration "For every one who's a valedictorian, there's another 100 out there who weigh 130 pounds and they've got calves the size of cantaloupes because they're hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert."

Jim Wheeler, in response to a question about reinstating slavery. "If that's what they wanted, I'd have to hold my nose ... they'd probably have to hold a gun to my head, but yeah,"

Rick Santorum ""The middle class. Since when in America do we have classes? That's Marxism talk."

Don Young "My father had a ranch. We used to hire 50 to 60 *******s to pick tomatoes."

Ted Yaho on America going into default "I think, personally, it would bring stability to the world markets."

Tim Walberg on the Supreme Court and gay marriage "Society itself is at risk and cannot continue."

Michael Bloomberg on stop and frisk "I think we disproportionately stop whites too much and minorities too little."

Kevin Cramer "Forty years ago, the United States Supreme Court sanctioned abortion on demand. And we wonder why our culture sees school shootings so often."

The lesson? You can say all the stupid things you want if you're a white male. But if you have the double jeopardy of being both female and a minority, better not say anything dumb.

That lesson is about as dumb as the quotes you posted. Like Trump and Bush haven't gotten pummeled.by the media, the entertainment industry, and libs whenever they said something dumb. The difference between OAC and the white men you quoted is that AOC is in the limelight and she says lots of dumb things.

You want to make a comparison? Take a look at how she is treated v. how Sarah Palen was treated by the media and entertainers.

ursa: "excellent post, Yogi." That is really surprising and really disappointing. i thought you were too old ( about 75?) to support identity politics. identity politics is, of course, the exact opposite of the message Martin Luther King preached during his brief appearance on the scene. If MLK were alive today I'm certain he would not be pleased with the perversion of what he preached.

I didn't quote Trump or Bush.

AOC is irrelevant to almost everybody except Republicans who are looking for a new person to demonize since Hillary and Obama are no longer threats to them.

As for Palin, there's a difference between treating someone like they're dumb and then actually being dumb. Palin is as dumb as a rock.
