john wooden trash-talked every game for 25 years. if he were coaching today, he would not be considered a candidate because of his "insensitivity" . sign off the times. I have a great idea: Let's hire Jesus of nazareth. he would never say anything nasty about anyone. Can't coach?????Goes 0-18 every year for 30 years????who cares???He's inclusive and diverse.
I'm fine with trash talking between players and some stuff from coaches but full trashing a player as a coach, punk stuff and I don't care if he's the Wizard of Westwood. Sure some of it's gamesmanship but some of it is authority figure crapping on student athletes. And yes, it was a different era.

If you're calling a player a girl or a woman, that's bull. If make a comments like "shtty play there bucko" that's fair. Good trash talking isn't personal, it's about the game or the play. Read up Larry Bird, he basically called his shot and then mocked the opposition...nothing personal.
You might want to look up "bucko" in Urban Dictionary, but prepare yourself in advance to be offended and disgusted.
I looked it up...nothing weird from what I can see. I figured since Richie Cunningham used it with Fonzie, it was safe.
Yeah? Did you try spelling it backwards?
I got OKcupid. Yes that is EVIL and sick.
I was kidding about the backwards part. Actually, it's an acronym.

Somewhat disappointed someone brought this up, but not surprised. Society has gotten soft. Trash talk on the playground was way worse than this.

This actually would make me want Turner more. Those expecting a goody-two-shoes coach will be severely disappointed. ALL of these guys are a-holes in some way. It's partially why they are head coaches.

That's weak trash talk though. I do think there ought to be a difference between a college game and a playground game, but that aside couldn't he come up with something more effective?
