Same with Danny Manning who has a $18M (!!) buyout at Wake Forest thanks to a fully guaranteed deal through 2025 with his contract extension last year.

That's quite a payout for a guy who's more interested in NASCAR than basketball.

EDIT: My mistake. That was Brad Daugherty. Maybe they should swap jobs? Couldn't hurt.

Even for Texas, which has a lot of other financial commitments at the moment, it's a lot of money.
