best passer on the team, decent shooter and has height. I bet Fox improves his defense so he won't be a liability.
I doubt Dyson plays much. Hopefully with the new recruits he will not have to. Doubt Fox can improve Dyson

IMHO all of our players have room for improvement but none more than Harris-Dyson. I hope he can work with our coaches to realize his potential.

His season was a disappointment. I thought he worked all summer on getting a shot, but he didn't. He is so athletic though, he needs to just continue to work and get better. I think by senior year he will be a solid contributor. Perhaps in a Dennis Gates type way.

Purely from a defensive standpoint, I thought anticevich improved more than any other player last year

Grant came in noticeably bigger and stronger last fall. Maybe if he can, at the same weight, manage to eke out a little more lateral quickness. Loved his attitude.

GA would benefit from a structured offense, and a pass-first point guard. Keeping fingers crossed.

Or even a pass first offense and a structured point guard

Harris-Dyson has been here for two years now, and has been ill, recovering from illness, or dealing with trying to play a whole season with an injured finger. Hard to shoot well or learn to shoot favoring a painful finger. It would be nice to see if he can improve and what he can do if he has a fully healthy season.

So who is your starting 5? What about Vanover, Kelly and Sueing? Who comes off the bench?

The 3 guys you mentioned should be starting just based on their superior talent level and how Fox usually likes to deploy his lineup.

Not saying Grant can't be a contributor. Maybe I'm wrong, but he's a backup at this level. That's not a discredit to him, as we need a solid 8-9 man rotation.

The more Grant plays, the more confident he will get so that he can show you doubters what he's got.

Doubting? Saying that he can be a contributor is not doubting, IMO.

Let's put it his way, should he start over Vanover or Kelly? And if so, why?

Interesting question comparing Kelly with Grant. Kelly looked very good during pre-league play, but seemed to slow down as the season went on. Was he hurt, or was the competition better? As Andre (at 6'-8") played center most of the time, he was usually up against taller, quicker guys that took away much of his inside game. Grant didn't play much early, but played some key minutes during league play. As Grant seemed to be more active and had better shooting range, he was able to be more effective. He also went hard for rebounds, although he often got called for rebounding fouls. To my eye, Grant was the better player at season's end.

Because it was Grant's second year and Kelly's first, I'm not too surprised that Grant got better. I would hope that Andre would likewise improve next season. I think Grant was able to get stronger last off-season, and so should Kelly this off-season. Fox is supposed to be a defensive specialist, so the guy that can play the better defense next year will likely see the most playing time.

The way I see it, as one of three experienced bigs, he HAS to play major minutes, even if he doesn't start.
