Per ESPN. Good luck to him now that he is back in his hometown of Chicago.

Per Twitter, Moore can play for Depaul right away.

I remember when this guy from my high school went to DePaul in 1982. His career average there was 7 PPG. At BOD he averaged 18 his last two seasons.

My son graduated from DePaul and still lives in Chicago. I don't think he attended any games there. The Horizon is not close to the campus.

The Horizon was a poor arena right on the O'Hare flight path out in the suburbs. But DePaul now uses a brand new 10,000 seat arena opened in 2017 at the downtown McCormick Center.

Although DePaul has a down town campus, the main campus is up north. Still not close to the university.

I never understood why he went to Kansas. I also never understood why Kansas wanted him.

Kansas wanted him because they were completely desperate for guards at the time. I think they only had a couple on the roster when he committed. Of course, in short order, Self then recruited several other guards who were all more talented.

Yogi Bear is smarter than the average bear. As for me, I still don't understand the reference. Is that a diner in Chicago?

Believe it or not, Gypo, JW Booth has graced these forums at least once before to indicate a booth post. Just a black and white head shot though, lacking the colorful panache of your image.

I remember seeing Tony Jackson and O'Dowd play my high school (Kennedy-Sacto) in the Nor Cal tourney at the Coliseum Arena in early '82. O'Dowd won 65-56, and Jackson had around 22 or 24 points as I recall. Ernest Lee of JFK had 32 in that game.

Looking at these numbers, it appears that the ncaa has completely abandoned its own rules in approving transfer waivers. Vanover still hasn't heard on his waiver request and has no legitimate basis under the rules for getting one. But with numbers like this, I suspect they'll approve his too.

As of last week McNeill is still awaiting word from NCAA. Did you guys know that one-time commit Tyson Jolly is on SMU now as well?

SMU basketball preparing for season with largely new, and finally full roster

Looks like Sueing is the only one who didn't request a waiver but I'd wager that this was Ohio State's doing since they already have a very similar player in Andre Wesson who will be a senior. Makes sense that they would want Sueing to replace him with 2 years of eligibility remaining.

Perhaps you hadn't heard: Vanover's grandparents are getting on in years and they are in declining health. Furthermore, he was a victim of "height harassment" while at Cal: Other students would look at him when he was walking to class and sometimes, behind his back, would comment on his height. Purportedly, a fan once asked him "How's the weather up there?"

Right Connor goes to Vegas for HS. Then to Berkeley for college. Then all of a sudden is desperate to be back home in Arkansas. Riiiiggght.

Charlie got two waivers in consecutive years. Good on him for getting it.

Charlie sat out his first year at Kansas. I'm not sure if he submitted a waiver and just didn't get it...or whether he just accepted the normal sit-out year.

IMHO Vanover could use an extra year to bulk up and Sueing could use an extra year for grad school.

Arkansas really wants him Immediately and are anxiously awaiting word on his immediately eligibility appeal. Apparently, he had a great game and was the second leading scorer in their big, public scrimmage recently. Lots of Arkansas people think he's the difference that could allow them to get to the tourney.

Plus, I'm not sure he's ever gonna bulk up. His body and physical weakness will always be a liability defensively against physical, strong bigs who can move him around at will, but that will be offset somewhat by his height. Offensively, he'll never be able to be physical but can be a good passer out of the high post and a capable deep shooter.

Glad he is gone. No defense. Defense comes first.

The only one I can think of was Bru McCoy who enrolled at USC, transferred to Texas and then transferred back to USC all within about 6 months.

In football Herm Edwards and Zach Kline both started at Cal, transferred away, then came back (Herm transferred away again).

What could possibly be his basis for waiver to go to Tucson? I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a long lost relative ailing there.
