Anyone that doesn't think coaching matters should watch this first half and compare to MANY games last 2 years. It is sorta a sucky situation Wyking was put in - it was clear he wasn't ready as a "never head coached" position. But hey - Mike William was a wrestler so there is that.

What a difference it is watching a well-coached team. They have work to do and there going to have matchup issues in some games, but this is the first time in a long time I've enjoyed watching Cal MBB play.

Reminds me *just* a little of those teams Monty coached.

I can see why Paris is a bad fit for Fox's offense. Fox's is all about quick passes and ball movement, but once Paris gets the ball he reverts back to holding on to the ball and dribbling until he can find lane to drive. When the clock runs down, he ends up taking a desperation shot or driving into traffic. He usually ends up on the floor.without a foul and can't get back on defense giving up an easy basket. Hope this can be fixed.

You gotta figure out how to use him. He had a REALLY nice ball fake and drive. So meet him "half way" because it is nice to have a guy who can create out there when the clock is running down.

So, I was watching on Pac-12.com - and live stats shows the game has resumed but I'm now getting the USC-Florida A&M. I reloaded and reclicked and it's still the USC game.

I then went to calbears.com and clicked on live video - still the USC game.

Per livestats its Pepperdine up 45-39 with 1716 to go.

This team is much better than last year and the gulf will get bigger as zome of the young guys get acclimated. Much better coached by a mile, too.

Paris is what deangelo Russell is to the warriors. Dubs are probably marginally better with him. But he's a poor defender and too ball dominant. But he can do stuff no one else on the roster can do.

As I said after the mass exodus at the end of last season: Our best player stayed. Sueing is a p@ussy compared to Bradley. Bradley has no quit in him and a superior skill set.

He had a complexly different 2nd half. Great drives and dishes. Great to see.

Including the exhibition, Bradley's at 60% from 3 so far.

They really have to work on that perimeter D, but super impressed with most everything else.
